What makes me happy?

The act of creating a piece of work on my own originally from scratch and iteratively improving upon it until I’m satisfied with my own work.

The piece of work can be anything starting from writing a small piece of code, to composing an email which caters to a diverse audience, to humming a new tune which I have conceived with in my mind. ……….

Hats off to the Maestro

The Maestro has made India Proud. Hope this sets a trend for other Indian musicians to follow.
As many have already pointed out , I too feel that SDM is not ARR's best work, but the reward sums up his extra ordinary musical journey so far. Hope he continues to win more laurels in future.

Slum Dog Millionaire – ARR

Hearty Congrats to ARR on his well deserved success.
SDM is not ARR’s best work, I’m sure anyone who has followed his over the years would agree with me.
Having said that, I should say that like many other Rahman compositions, some of the songs in this album are growing on me as I listen to them more.
Listening to Mausam & Escape and the ‘Riots’ theme for the last few hours in a loop.

Nostalgia - Slog Overs

I have very little less time left between now and my exams and there is loads of to cover. At this point It literally seems impossible for me to do well in these exams. Will I fail .. No... Failure is such a bad word when it comes to academics, at least that's the way I have been brought up.

Right now, I'm going through the usual ritual of cursing myself for not starting my preparations little earlier.

And then suddenly there is some new energy which seems to surface from some hidden reservoir which has been unexplored for quite a while and it then instills complete objectivity in your mind, gets rid of thoughts of failure - (A la Bhagwath Geetha )stressing that the need of the hour is slogging, Any other thought is simply redundant and will only be a deterrent to my preparations.

"No matter if you were crawling @ the rate of 2.00 runs per over for the first 40 overs . A Blitzkrieg during the slog overs will definitely help one post a competitive total on the board.
Winning or loosing doesn't matter now, Just go out there and slog as if your life depends on it"

Its been close to 7 years since I have studied so vigorously. I'm going to shut my self up in my room this weekend and check if I'm still the same slog over specialist I used to be.

Boy ! this situation seems so familiar. I have been through this situation at least a 100 times when I was in college and my success rates were pretty high then .. Wow.. One more reason for me to believe that I will do well in these exams

No Meetings - Holiday at work.

Life without meetings seems to be such a bliss.

After a Long time I'm going to work all day from my desk. Yeeee!!!!!

No Meetings today. I'm crusing along and have completed 30% of my work during the first two hours at work.

There is still so much to be completed before the end of the day.

Inspite of all work, I feel like I'm having a holiday at work.

Early Morning Bliss

Travelling to work by Bus -- watching snow flakes fall gently on the road and Melt.

Listening to song "Enuyir thozhiye " from Kangalaal Kaidu sei .. what a bliss !! :) :)
